RENTING A BIKINI


How does Rent-A-Kini work? 

Find It

Select a bikini from our collection.  You can search by colour, bikini bottom size, bikini top size.


Book It

Once you have selected your bikini, book it for a 4-day rental period.  We recommend selecting a rental start date 1-2 days before your event, as we will deliver your bikini to you on the day that your rental period begins.


Wear It

Your bikini will arrive on the day you specify… all you need to worry about is shining on stage.


Return It

On your last day of hire, simply pop the bikini into the zip lock bag and box supplied, place it in the pre-paid return satchel and take it to your nearest Australian Post Office outlet.  We take care of the dry cleaning, so you have more time to share your photos with us on Instagram and Facebook.


How do I rent a bikini?

Browse through the current selection of bikini’s under the ‘HIRE A BIKINI’ tab on the Home Page. Select the bikini you love most, and use the calendar to view availability and choose your delivery date.


Can I try it on first? 

You can come and trial the bikini at Rent-A-Kini HQ (Sydney HQ).  Please email info@rent-a-kini.com.au.


Alternatively, under each product is a 'Size & Fit' tab that will include specific information relating to the fit of that bikini. 


We can also able post a bikini to you to try on. This service costs $30 and can be arranged by emailing info@rent-a-kini.com.au.  If your competition is at least three weeks away and you would like to try bikini’s on before you hire, we can arrange our $30 Try On service for you. With this service, you can try on up to two bikini’s for 24 hours in the convenience of your home.  If you would like to arrange our Try On service, select the bikini that you would like to Try On and add it to your Bag by selecting the 'Advance Try On' option on the bikini product page.


Please note that we are unable to hold bikini’s for your actual event date until a booking is placed.


To return your Try On Bikini, simply pop the bikini in the return satchel provided and drop it at your nearest Post Office or yellow Express Postal Box.


Can I book a bikini in advance for a competition?

Yes of course! Simply click on the bikini you would like to borrow, and then select the date you would like your bikini to be delivered to you. She takes bookings up to 3 months in advance. 


What if I accidentally stain or damage the bikini?

We understand that some wear and tear may be inevitable, and the $5 insurance fee covers minor stains and damage. But significant damage and theft aren't covered under the insurance. If the item is damaged beyond repair, the fee is the retail price of the item and we then send you the bikini to enjoy as you take on full ownership. 


What if my bikini doesn’t fit?

If your bikini arrives and isn’t a perfect fit then you can contact us via email (info@rent-a-kini.com.au) or phone (0403 604 796) to overnight or same day courier an alternative style or size otherwise we can issue you with a credit note for a future rental.  Simply log in to your profile and print out the Credit Request and send it back filled out with your unworn bikini. A unique code will then be sent to your email within 2 days of the bikini arriving back at Rent-A-Kini HQ.

 

What if my rental period ends on a Sunday?

Simply slip your bikini in the ziplock back and box supplied and place it in the return satchel included in your order to the nearest Australia Post Office by 2pm the following business day.


I would like to take my bikini interstate, is that okay? 

Of course! As long as it is placed in an Australia Post Express Post Box in a capital city by no later than 2pm on the last day of hire.  This can be in the state your received it or any other major Australian city.

 

How many Bikini’s can I rent at once?

You can rent up to 2 bikini’s at anytime, during the same 4-day period. 


What if I change my mind and wish to cancel an order? 

Please contact info@rent-a-kini.com.au. We will be happy to cancel your order if it is at least 2 weeks prior to the date your rental period is due to begin. The refund process can take approximately 5-7 days dependent on the individual processing time on your credit card/Paypal account and in extreme cases the refund may not appear in your account for some time. Unfortunately, we have no control over this however, we will keep you informed and updated at all times.


What happens if the renter before me returns the bikini late/damaged?

Rent-A-Kini will do everything in our power to get the bikini you ordered to you on time. However, in the very rare case that the customer before you has been negligent with the only unit available, we will upgrade your order and ship you a more expensive style for the date you need if available. Rent-A-Kini never wants to leave you without something amazing to wear!


What forms of payment do you accept?

Rent-A-Kini accepts payments via Paypal including VISA, MasterCard & VISA Debit.


When is my Credit Card charged for the bikini rental?

Your credit card will be charged as soon as we receive your order. 


DELIVERY OF THE BIKINI


How much does delivery cost? 

Delivery is $14.95 and includes Express delivery to you and a pre-paid return satchel included in your package.  You also have the choice to pick up your bikini from Rent-A-Kini HQ in Willoughby.


Do you deliver on weekends?

Unfortunately, our courier service does not deliver on weekends.


Can the bikini be delivered to my home or office?

Yes of course, as long as there is someone there to sign for it on your behalf. If your bikini is being delivered to a business address please ensure the name of the business is given in the delivery instructions at the checkout. 


How long will it take for my bikini to be delivered? 

The estimated standard delivery time is 1-2 business days - depending on your location & the time you submitted your order. If your order is placed before 11am (Sydney time), we will dispatch it on the same day, but if not, we will dispatch it the next working day. If you place an order on a weekend or public holiday, then the order will be processed during business hours on the next business day. 


How do I know the bikni will be in good condition when I receive it? 

Rent-A-Kini purchases their bikini’s directly from bikini designers and competitors.  They are inspected and dry cleaned before rentals are available for the bikini.  Rent-A-Kini would never send a bikini to you unless it is in near perfect condition.

 

Bikini’s are retired from the rental collection as soon as they are no longer in near perfect condition. 


How do I know the bikini is clean when I receive it?

All bikini’s are dry cleaned and sanitised by a luxury dry cleaner as soon as they are returned. The Rent-A-Kini team also carry out inspections before a bikini is sent out, to ensure you always receive it in great condition.


What is included in my delivery?

You will receive your bikini as well as a set of return instructions, care tips, ziplock bag and a pre-paid return satchel all packaged beautifully in a box.


Can I track my items? 

Yes.  After we’ve dispatched your item we’ll send you a confirmation email which will include your tracking number and the estimated delivery date. If you do not have a tracking number, please feel free to contact Rent-A-Kini to follow up your order. 


Do you deliver Australia-wide? 

Yes, we deliver all around Australia to both residential and business addresses - in all major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin - as well as rural areas. 


Do I have to sign for my items? 

A signature is required for the parcel however anyone present at the address at the time of delivery can sign on your behalf.

 

Do you deliver to PO Boxes? 

Unfortunately, our courier service does not deliver to PO Boxes.

 

What happens if I am not home to sign for the parcel? 

You have 2 options: we can either leave it at the nearest Post Office for you to pick up later, or we can leave it at your door. If you would like us to leave your packages at your door, please let us know in the 'Additional Notes' section when you're checking out. 


What time will my bikini arrive? 

Approximately between 8.30am and 5.30pm, however your tracking details should give you further guidance on the exact time. 


What happens if my bikini doesn’t arrive?

If you do not receive the bikini by 5pm on the day you expected please call us immediately on 0403 604 796.  We will trace the parcel with our courier and update you with information as soon as possible.


RETURNING THE BIKINI


How do I return my bikini?

Returning your bikini is quick and easy. Simply place it in the ziplock bag and box supplied and place it in the prepaid return satchel provided and drop it at your nearest Post Office. We recommend returning your bikini across the counter at an Australia Post Office as it will be immediately scanned as proof of lodgement. If the bikini is returned via the Australia Post boxes then you assume all responsibility until the first scan by Australia Post is made.


What if I damage or stain the bikini?

The first thing to do is not to worry! Please simply contact Rent-A-Kini by emailing info@rent-a-kini.com.au to let us know. We have a team of professional dry cleaners and experienced seamstresses who are more than likely able to fix the issue at hand. If the bikini is not repairable, unfortunately, you will be charged the replacement value of the bikini; as per the amount communicated to you at the time you borrowed it. This amount will be automatically deducted from your credit card once we have informed you that the bikini is irreparable.


In most cases, the bikini will be repairable, and only the cost of repair will be passed onto you. Like above, the repair amount will be deducted from your credit card, after you have been notified.


Late Fee Policy

We take pride in meeting and exceeding the expectations of all of our customers by providing an exceptional experience that begins with an on-time delivery. When a bikini is not returned to us on time by a customer, or is lost or stolen, it impacts our ability to deliver on our promises to other customers and it harms our business.  Because our products are unique and not replaceable, we cannot purchase additional products to fulfill orders due to late returns.  We rely on our customers to return our products on time so that we can continue to fulfill orders for other customers. Please review our Late Fee Policy below which explains how to return your rental products and outlines the late fees charged for late returns.


Returning Products 

The date to send back your rental items is stated in your online invoice.  In order to avoid a late fee, you must send back the products you rented in the return packaging provided to you by Rent-A-Kini  by 2pm on your nominated delivery date. The return service provider is Australia Post. 


We recommend returning the parcel across the counter at an Australia Post Office where the parcel will be scanned as immediate proof of return.  If you choose to return via an Australia Post Express box it is your responsibility until the first scan performed via Australia Post. 


Please do not leave your rentals with any third party (hotel, mail room, friend) for return as you would still be held liable for any late fees incurred. 


If you lose the return packaging, you are responsible for returning the item at your own expense by the expected return date, and providing Rent-A-Kini with a tracking number.  Returns should be sent to the following address:

Do I need to clean the bikini before I return it?

Please do not attempt to clean the bikini before returning it. We use a professional dry cleaning service to ensure bikinis are not damaged.

 

What happens if I love the bikini I have borrowed and want to keep it?

Unfortunately, Rent-A-Kini does not allow customers to keep bikini’s they have borrowed.  If you desperately wish to become the owner of the bikini please email Rent-A-Kini info@rent-a-kini.com.au to discuss this with us.


What if I return my bikini late? 

A late return is subject to fees at the rate of $50 per day for every day that your order is late.  You can read our complete late fee policy here. 


How do I know that my bikini has arrived safely back with you? 

We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your bikini back. All return postage bags have their own unique tracking number, so please note down this number so that you can track it if you wish. 


What if my rental period ends on a Sunday or a public holiday?
